Krowned — Brand Identity
— Project Overview —

Closing a gap the DMV had lived with.

Krowned is a booking marketplace connecting clients with textured-hair stylists across the DC metro area. Brand identity, product design and front-end build on Next.js and Supabase.

Finding a textured-hair stylist in the DMV meant scattered Instagram pages, outdated listings and word of mouth. Krowned replaces that with search by style, location and availability — and a booking that takes under two minutes.

— Our Approach —
01

Designed Around the Booking

Every screen serves one flow: find a stylist, see real openings, book. A card-based interface keeps stylists front and centre, and search narrows by style, location and availability rather than burying it in filters.

02

Premium Without Exclusive

The identity had to feel elevated but open — warm gold against near-black, clean type, and a crown mark that speaks to the culture and care behind textured hair.

03

A System That Scales

Two lockups, one gradient used sparingly, and a documented type and colour system — Playfair Display announcing, Montserrat explaining — so the product can grow without the brand drifting.
